Person centred therapist
My name is Cee MacDonald and I am a person centred therapist, working near Bristol. I focus on supporting a broad range of people struggling with loneliness and isolation, among other issues such as anxiety and depression. I’m experienced in working with clients who are autistic or have ADHD.
I trained in Person Centred Counselling at Cornwall College, and I volunteer part-time at Listening Post which offers low-cost therapy to clients in Gloucestershire.

I’m a registered member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) and abide by their ethical framework.

My background
In my teens and twenties, I felt lonely. I look a bit weird, I didn’t understand how social relationships worked. I used to feel the Simon and Garfunkel song ‘I am a Rock’ was my theme tune. It was hard to admit that, while I was pretty introverted, I also wanted to be seen, loved and cared for. Slowly, I came to understand myself better and open up to experiences of connection with people.
I started my professional life as a government economist, working in social and environmental policy. I also have worked as a support worker, mostly for people with Autism and ADHD. I have a lot of experience working with community groups including the Autistic Empire.
My dog
I have a lovely dog called Beinn who hoards tennis balls.
